🎉 Congratulations to Collinwood High School! 🎉

We’re proud to share that Collinwood High School has been named one of just 27 TSSAA member schools selected as an A.F. Bridges Divisional Finalist for the 2024–2025 school year!

The A.F. Bridges Award is named in honor of A.F. Bridges, the first Executive Secretary of the TSSAA. His high ideals of ethics, integrity, sportsmanship, and citizenship are the four cornerstones on which the Athletic Association was built. These same ideals are the focus of the TSSAA’s “Just Do What’s Right” program, a message that Collinwood High School continues to embody through its athletes, coaches, and community.

Way to go, Trojans! Your commitment to character and sportsmanship makes Wayne County proud.

Level 5 teachers

Congratulations to Wayne County High School for its Level 5 TVAAS Distinction and Achievement Composite.

This is a significant milestone in student growth and achievement for the 2024-2025 academic school year. The Tennessee Department of Education assigns 5 levels of distinction based on student growth. WCHS earned the highest level. Five levels of achievement also designate TCAP performance. WCHS earned the highest in this measure, as well.

Dr. Inman took one look at how great the first few weeks have gone and said:
“You know what? Shut it down. Everyone deserves Monday off.”

The calendar calls it Labor Day, but we’re calling it a victory lap.

We will welcome everyone back on Tuesday, September 2!

📣 Great news, Wayne County! 🍽️ Wayne County Schools will once again participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2025–2026 school year! 🙌 ✅ What does that mean? Every student at every school in our district will receive ONE FREE breakfast and ONE FREE lunch each school day — no forms required! ⚠️ Please note: This includes full meals only. Extras like à la carte items, snacks, or second meals are not included and will still need to be purchased separately. 💡 Why does participation matter? Even if your child doesn't usually eat at school, we encourage everyone to give it a try! Higher participation helps us keep this program going — so your support helps ensure we can continue offering free meals for all students in future years. We’re proud to support the health and success of every student through this important program. 💛 #WayneCountySchools #FreeMealsForAll #CEP #HealthyStudents #EveryStudentEveryDay #EatWithUs
