There are so many people that deserve praise for making today's Special Olympics so fabulous. From volunteers to family members to community partners and everyone in between ; you helped make today special. We do want to mention the following groups for their specific contributions: People’s Bank – for providing Special Olympics t-shirts for all athletes TGR Printing – for printing the t-shirt design Wayne County Bank – for donating all the ribbons and medallions Wayne Halfway House– for supplying lunch for every athlete Junior Civitan Club – for providing drinks and snacks for athletes and staff The Family of James Harper - for sponsoring our Annual Courage Award Wayne County High School Band – for sharing their talents and leading our music Hillary Cope and Hall Medical Clinic – for conducting athlete physicals Our Amazing Student Volunteers – for helping make today run smoothly through their kindness, energy, and service We appreciate all the students, teachers and family members who came out today to cheer on our athletes! All of our school staff members work tirelessly each day with our kids and today it was put on full display during Special Olympics. Thank you for being the driving force in our school system! 🕊️ In Memory of Danny Brison Wayne County Schools is saddened to share the passing of Mr. Danny Brison, custodian at Collinwood High School. Mr. Brison was a valued member of our school family, and he will be deeply missed by students, staff, and the entire community. To allow staff and students to attend his services, all Collinwood schools will dismiss at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 1. Our thoughts are with the Brison family during this difficult time.
